Happy Noon Year at Traverse Area District Library

Visit the Traverse Area District Library as they ring in the new year at a time that isn't past bedtime. There will be crafts, games, and a dance party when the clock strikes noon! Enjoy this fun-filled program to wrap up a fun-filled year at TADL!

New Year's Countdown for Kids at the Great Lakes Children's Museum

Would you like to welcome in 2023 but can’t wait till midnight? It’s midnight somewhere in the world! Count down to 2023 with the Great Lakes Children’s Museum!


Watch the ball drop and make some noise! Fabulously fun New Year’s activities will take place all throughout each session.

  • GLCM’s New Year’s Countdown for Kids takes place on Saturday December 31, 2022 during All Sessions (9:30-11:30 / 12:00-2:00 / 2:30-4:30 pm).

  • This experience is FREE with Museum Admission ($8 for children and adults, free for members).

  • Reservations Required! This event sells out!

  • The ball drop will happen ½ hour before each session ends. Activities will include decorating the ball, making noise makers and party hats and more!

New Year's Eve at the Arts Center and Petoskey District Library

Ring in the New Year on the corner of Division Street and Mitchell Street in downtown Petoskey. Enjoy live music, entertainment, cocoa and cookie stations, bonfire pits with s'mores kits, a DJ on the plaza, and much more!

  • Ball drops at 9pm

  • Cost is $5 for kids and $10 for adults. Kids under 2 are free.

New Year's Eve Family Party at Crystal Mountain

Celebrate New Year's Eve at Crystal Mountain's Family Party! The party includes a dinner buffet, non-alcoholic beverages (iced tea, lemonade, water, coffee), party favors, live entertainment, and a kids goody bag. Soda and alcoholic beverages are available for individual purchase.
